This is a collaboration event with Christianne’s Lyceum of Literature and Art. It will be a creative outing for families or individuals to make a one-of-a-kind glass mosaic-topped keepsake box. Not only will this little box be an art item for your desk or drawing room, it’d be the perfect place to put the beach glass you’ve collected this summer, or those special heart-shaped stones. It would also look fantastic in an office to hold post-its or stationery bits and bobs.
Date & Time: August 8, 1-3PM (Note: As the keepsake box takes time to make, no new participants will be accepted after 2:00 PM, please arrive on time)
Location: 10th Ave & Sasamat St
**RSVP IS REQUIRED: Click this link to RSVP
More details:
The boxes will be wood-stained, 4″x6″x2″, with grouted glass tile on top.
From start to finish this activity takes about 2 hours.
We will be working with precut glass tiles with nippers on hand for those difficult corner pieces. Designs can be as simple as stripes, or as intricate as a flower garden. No prior experience with tiling is necessary, we’ll have experts there to help guide you through the process, so that each participant leaves with something they are proud of. Families can work together at a table and each create their own box. This is a perfect opportunity to spend time with loved ones or to meet new people on a Saturday afternoon.
