Point Grey Village BIA

The Point Grey Village Business Association (BIA) supports and promotes the local business community along West 10th Avenue in Vancouver’s West Point Grey neighbourhood. Working together, local businesses and commercial property owners help make the Village a more vibrant, welcoming, and successful place to shop, dine, do business, and gather.

The BIA helps strengthen Point Grey Village through marketing and promotions, community events, streetscape improvements, advocacy, and business support. Many of the public events and community activities in the Village are made possible by the businesses that are part of the BIA.

What the BIA Does

The Point Grey Village BIA works on behalf of the business area in a number of ways, including:

Marketing and Promotion

Promoting the Village through digital marketing, social media, events, seasonal campaigns, and other initiatives that help attract customers and raise the profile of the area.

Community Events and Programming

Organizing and supporting events, activations, and public programming that bring people into the Village and create a lively, welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere.

Streetscape and Beautification

Supporting enhancements to the public realm, including banners, lighting, planters, street furniture, and other improvements that make the area more attractive and enjoyable.

Advocacy and Business Support

Representing the interests of Village businesses on issues such as parking, transportation, commercial affordability, development, permitting, safety, and public realm improvements.

Business Recruitment and Retention

Working to support a strong and balanced mix of businesses in the Village and helping to strengthen the local business community over time.

How Businesses Benefit

Businesses within the Point Grey Village BIA benefit from being part of a collective organization that works to support the area as a whole. While each business operates independently, the BIA helps create added value through shared promotion, community-building, advocacy, and neighbourhood improvements that individual businesses could not achieve as easily on their own.

All commercial property owners and business tenants within the BIA boundary are part of the Point Grey Village BIA. Businesses are encouraged to get involved, stay informed, and help shape the work of the organization.

  • Exploring opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors
