This is to notify that Point Grey Village Business Association (BIA) is holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 at 6:00 PM.
This will be a hybrid event with a limited number of members attending in person (dinner will be served after) and others Zooming in.
As per the bylaws, every property owner member, or their representative, will be mailed an envelope of AGM documents before September 10th. Every business within Point Grey Village will be delivered an envelope by September 17th.
- Each member business/property owner shall annually renew its membership in the Society. All members are in good standing, except that members whose annual membership application has not been received by the Secretary of the Society when due.
- The quorum at a general meeting must be 15 members present in person or by proxy, provided that no fewer that eight members be present in person.
IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES
No nominations from the floor are allowed during the AGM, however qualified candidates can be appointed to open positions at a Board of Directors meeting in the future. Click here to see the Nomination Committee’s candidates.
Annual Membership Application/Renewal forms must be received by the PGVBA office by Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 by 4:00 PM for a representative of your company to be eligible to vote at the AGM. Click here to download the Membership Application/Renewal Form.
Copies of all Proxy forms must be received in the office by Monday, September 28th, 2020 by 4:00 PM to be counted in at the AGM. Click here to download the proxy form.
